About This Programme:

Social media is a powerful tool for athletes to promote themselves, their sport and to engage with fan communities. It can also be a paradise for online trolls. This workshop looks at both benefits and pitfalls of social media use and provides clear, practical advice on how to manage social media profiles at different stages of a player’s journey. This workshop also addresses the rise in online abuse and what players, staff and clubs can do to stop online hate.
